You see, just an everyday short haircut and style is different than the MORE MODERN SHORT HAIRCUT and styles. There are more expectations with the new styles as far as versatility & texture. After the haircut, the stylist should be able to show you many different ways in which you can style your new cut. Some will be fun, new and energetic and others will be more conservative and natural. This will allow the guest to be able to wear their hair to fit the occasion.
♥ All hair cutting takes training.
♥ All good haircuts need great training.
However, we feel at domani that short, modern haircuts need great training and years of experience.
We feel this way because in order to have your hair move in the directions that the style requires the hair must be cut and texturized in a way that only experienced stylist can provide.
At domani we are so fortunate to have hairstylists of all experience levels, ranging from: fresh out of beauty school, going through our domani training program to stylists with over 30 years of experience. As we stated above… sometimes those short, textured haircuts require experience and lots of training!!!

be sure to mention which location!
Dermaplaning, also known as leveling the skin or simply blading, is performed to manually exfoliate the skin and involves the use of a sterile surgical blade, known as a dermatome. The dermatome is held against taut skin at a 45-degree angle and stroked in a manner similar to shaving. This method removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells, leaving the skin smooth and supple. Dermaplaning is usually only performed on the face and generally excludes any blading of the nose, eyelids, neck, and chest. Furthermore, it is recommended that the procedure be done every 2 to 4 weeks, which coincides with a normal skin cycle of approximately 30 days. Along with sloughing away dead skin cells, dermaplaning can help reduce the visibility of acne scarring and slight wrinkling, as well as remove vellous (translucent) hairs on the face, commonly known as ‘peach fuzz’. Domani salon and spa offers dermaplaning by a licensed aesthetician for our guests!
Dermaplaning is recommended for all skin types except those with acneic skin. If you have deep cystic acne, wait until breakouts are clear before trying this treatment. As always, also discuss any allergies or skin sensitivities before starting a treatment.
This is a great treatment if you are pregnant or nursing and want exfoliation without the risk of harsh chemicals absorbing into the blood stream and potentially harming your baby.
Dermaplaning is a painless procedure and can be compared to the sensation of shaving your legs, but in this case, it’s on your face.
First, the aesthetician will cleanse and thoroughly dry your skin. Next, she’ll pull an area of your skin taut with one hand, and hold a sterile 10 gauge blade at a 45 degree angle in the other hand and use short, swift strokes to scrape off dead skin cells and peach fuzz.
About 30 minutes
There are no side effects and zero downtime. After the treatment, your skin will be highly sensitive to sun exposure and may already look very pink, so be sure to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher to reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation.
You’ll immediately look more radiant with a more even skin tone and texture. All of your peach fuzz will be gone, which is why first-timers say their skin has never felt so soft before.
Dermaplaning removes 21 days worth of dead skin cells, so it’s best to allow the skin to complete its rejuvenation cycle before your next treatment.

do you often wish you had better eyebrows? do you often wish your eyes would pop more?
at domani we often tell guests that one of the most important pieces of doing your makeup is filling in your brows (and lips, always lips)!!!
you have a couple different options: using pencils, gels, eye shadows, tinting or coloring them, or tattooing them.
we either use pencils, eye shadows or often just simply tint them with eyebrow color. This is a really quick, inexpensive service that you can do each time you get your haircut, colored or even just make an appointment just for your brows.
we always recommend to a guest, let us use shadow and show you how amazing your face and eyes light up when filling in your brows. once you get comfortable with that, lets TINT your brows just once. if you don’t love it (which you will), then go back to filling in with a shadow. But it does save time each morning & you can swim, sweat, whatever without worrying about your brows!
